Jenfitch’s JC 9465 Receives USDA Organic Certification

Walnut Creek, California — November 2025

Jenfitch, Inc. is pleased to announce that its clean-chemistry disinfectant, JC 9465, has been

officially certified for use under the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). The certification

was issued by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) following a full

review of the company’s 2026 renewal submission.

This approval marks JC 9465 as one of the few chlorine-based sanitizing agents authorized for

use in organic processing and handling environments, a category traditionally constrained

by stringent federal regulations. Under the certification (Registration No. 768), JC 9465 is listed

as an approved Processing and Handling (PH) material and may be used in certified organic

facilities when treated water complies with the Safe Drinking Water Act’s residual chlorine limits.

“We are proud to offer a sanitizer that meets both the performance demands of the food industry

and the rigorous standards of the National Organic Program,” said Charles Jennings, President of

Jenfitch, Inc. “This certification reinforces our commitment to providing

environmentally responsible, science-driven water treatment solutions.”

The certification is supported by a detailed WSDA review confirming that JC 9465 continues to

comply with USDA organic regulations and remains listed on the WSDA Organic Input

Material List, an essential resource for organic auditors and processors nationwide. The

approved listing is valid through December 31, 2026.

JC 9465’s organic certification opens new opportunities for food and beverage processors

seeking effective sanitation tools that do not compromise organic integrity. The product’s

clean-chemistry formulation is engineered for rapid microbial inactivation, reduced disinfection

byproduct formation, and low-residue performance—features that support the unique needs of

organic processors, produce washing operations, beverage facilities, dairy plants, and

post-harvest environments.

As organic and clean-label production continue to expand, Jenfitch remains committed to

developing solutions that align with evolving regulatory expectations and sustainability goals. For more
